Researchers found that obese individuals lost 5.7 kg of their body weight and 5.6 cm of their waist circumference four weeks after consuming a low-carbohydrate diet. The findings in The FASEB Journal, based on 20 men and women with obesity, also revealed that weight loss led to a 10% drop in cravings for sweets and 6% for starchy foods.
