A study that included more than 400 adults in the Seattle area found households that had home-cooked meals three times a week had a Healthy Eating Index average score of about 67, while those that cooked meals six times a week had an average score of 74. The study in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine did not find a link between income or education and eating at home or dining out, researchers said.
